Annie Hamel is the Associate Director of Genetic Toxicology, where she oversees a department conducting GLP projects that will be submitted to regulatory agencies. She has directed over 350 in vitro and in vivo safety assessment studies at the Montreal site and has experience working with comet assays and 3D cultures with metabolic competency. Before taking on her new role, Annie was responsible for the development and implementation of new assays in addition to software validation for automated implementation at the Montreal site. Annie has been with Charles River for over 18 years, including more than 10 years' experience working with genetic toxicity testing.
Annie has a master’s degree in biology, specializing in toxicology and human and animal physiology, from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She is a committee member for EMGS and has authored/co-authored many scientific posters and publications.
