Ben Thompson studied Experimental Pathology in Edinburgh before characterizing innate immune system signaling in acute respiratory disease during his PhD in Belfast. Ben worked for 5 years with Redx Pharma, leading the pharmacology on a drug discovery project targeting embryonic developmental pathways and their link to onco-immunity. Following this, Ben continued in drug discovery and target validation, working with RxCelerate for four years investigating a wide range of areas, including the complement system and immune cell infiltration. Ben joined Charles River in 2021, using his immunology experience to lead a team of scientists working on clinical and pre-clinical projects covering various areas of immune disease.
