Dr. Verghese has over 15 years of research and development experience specializing in microbiology, molecular biology, genomics, evolutionary, and computational biology. She joined Charles River in 2011 at the Accugenix® site in Delaware. In her current role, she manages the curation and maintenance of the Accugenix® proprietary microbial library databases. Her time at Charles River has given her the opportunity to lead multiple microbial assay development and implementation projects to help Accugenix® expand its portfolio.
Dr. Verghese earned her PhD in biological science from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma and completed her post-doctoral studies at Pennsylvania State University.
