Chris Lowrie joined the Environmental Sciences department at Inveresk Research in 1994 and became part of the Charles River family following acquisition in 2003. Upon joining the company, Mr. Lowrie combined working as a technician in the Environmental Fate (E-Fate) team with part time study for an Honours Degree in Environmental Biology at Edinburgh Napier University. Becoming a Study Director in 2000, Mr. Lowrie went on to successfully lead a wide range of E-Fate, metabolism, and general biotransformation studies supporting agrochemical, industrial chemical, and pharmaceutical companies with the data required for various complex regulatory submissions. In November 2013, Mr. Lowrie became the Head of E-Fate and Metabolism in Edinburgh and in June 2020 became the Senior Director for the BioSciences Division at Charles River Edinburgh.
