Farjana Akther is a Research Scientist in the Immunology group at Charles River Laboratories, Reno. She is responsible for designing, developing, and qualifying/validating several cell-based assays (ELISpot, Cytokine Release Assay, Neutralizing Antibody Assays etc.). She is also responsible for strategic scientific initiatives to improve and optimize the techniques involved in different cell-based assays. Farjana earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and completed PhD studies in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology and Toxicology, at University of the Pacific.
