Frédéric Gervais, DVM, DECVP

Associate Director, Pathology

In his current role as the Associate Director of Pathology at Charles River’s site in Évreux, France, Frédéric currently leads their molecular pathology platform, supporting discovery, preclinical, and clinical programs with high‑plex and spatial biology capabilities.

He has over 20 years of experience in toxicologic pathology, focusing on the nonclinical evaluation of large‑molecule therapeutics. Dr. Gervais’ areas of expertise include immunopathology and tissue‑based biomarker strategies across a wide range of therapeutic modalities. He has led the development and implementation of advanced tissue‑based technologies, including immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, and digital pathology.

Dr. Gervais is an active member of the Society of Toxicologic Pathology and the French Society of Toxicologic Pathology (SFPT), where he serves as treasurer. He is also a board-certified veterinary pathologist (DECVP).
