Jussi Rytkönen, PhD

With over ten years of experience with Charles River’s Finland site, Principal Scientist Jussi Rytkönen is familiar with the complex but rewarding process of CNS drug development. His progression from external consultant through different scientific roles has given him insight into the many details that impact research studies. In his current role, he splits his time between managing a team of experienced neuroscientists, research programs, and building new client partnerships. His personal expertise areas are nuclear imaging and radiometric assays in CNS disease models. He has a keen interest in further expanding the company’s existing CNS assay capabilities and in showing clients how to efficiently move their CNS research past the preclinical phase.
