GLP-1 analogs, also known as GLP-1 receptor agonists or incretin mimetics, are a class of medications primarily used to manage type 2 diabetes and obesity. They mimic the action of the naturally occurring hormone GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1), which is released by the gut after food intake. This proof-of-concept study investigated if different GLP-1 agonists can activate the reporter system and if this system is robust enough to be validated according to ICH Q2(R2) guidelines to be used for GMP lot release and stability testing.
