Dr. Elizabeth Nunamaker leads the Global Animal Welfare team at Charles River and is the immediate-past president of the 3Rs Collaborative. She is focused on spreading rodent tunnel handling practices and developing a 3Rs certification program for those working in animal research.
Dr. Nunamaker is double boarded by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine and the American College of Animal Welfare. Over the past 15 years, she has focused on the welfare of laboratory animal species and has published numerous papers on this topic.
She has a PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan and a DVM degree from Purdue University.
