Project ALS and Charles River
Collaboration is the key to rare disease drug development. Through a personalized approach to drug development, Charles River, Project ALS, IONIS Pharmaceuticals, and the Hermstad’s joined forces in developing Jacifusen, a novel antisense therapy to fight an ultra-rare and aggressive form of ALS.
We worked to expedite the IND for personalized treatment which is now in phase 3 clinical trials. Charles River offers an extensive portfolio of in vivo models and in vitro assays for ALS studies and other rare diseases.
