Expanding HTS Capabilities and Capacity in North America

New Chicago facility extends HTS, MS, and ASMS footprint

Thanks to the acquisition of SAMDI Tech in January, we’ve been able to expand our hit identification portfolio, and will soon be moving into a new space in the vibrant Fulton Market neighborhood of Chicago in preparation for future growth.

The new Charles River Chicago team will move to larger premises in November 2024, doubling the square footage of their facility. The 7th floor space at Fulton Labs was specifically designed to streamline processes for the SAMDI technology and label-based assay workflows. In addition to space, the expansion includes new automation and equipment to increase efficiency.

In addition to traditional HTS capabilities, SAMDI mass spectrometry (MS) technology offers flexible solutions to enhance and accelerate hit finding efforts to identify enzyme modulators for diverse biochemical activities and an affinity selection mass spectrometry (ASMS) format to discover small molecule binders to virtually any target, including proteins and oligonucleotides such as RNA. The SAMDI Tech acquisition also expands our small molecule collection with over a half-million additional compounds featuring diverse, high-purity, pharmacophore-like properties to fast track your drug discovery programs.
